Special Weather Statement issued October 25 at 12:12AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 1211 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Nordheim to near Tulsita. Movement was east at
55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cuero, Kenedy, Karnes City, Yorktown, Runge, Nordheim, Thomaston,
Cotton Patch, Gruenau, New Davy, Choate, Meyersville, Arneckville,
Ecleto, Helena and Pana Maria.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
