Description
ES Boro offices will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day.
Garbage collection will take place on Wednesday, September 7th due to the holiday.
There is a public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 6th at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers to receive input on the proposed projects along Crystal Street. The regularly scheduled Council meeting will follow.
The Rotary Club of the Smithfields is hosting their annual paper shredding and electronic recycling event on September 17th in the parking lot of East Stroudsburg South High School.
Looking ahead at the calendar, a public hearing amending Chapter 157, Zoning, is set for September 20th at 7:30 p.m. during the regular Council meeting in Council Chambers. You can read the proposed ordinance on our website on the public hearing page.
Saturday, September 24th is Pick Up the Poconos from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., rain or shine. A sign-up link is available on our website, or poconomountains.com.
The last yard waste collection of the year will occur the week of September 26th. Please refer to our website or your recycling brochure for collection days, and remember, this is only yard waste, not leaf collection.
The Pickle Me Poconos festival featuring all things pickles will be held on Crystal Street, on Saturday, October 1st from noon until 5!
