Description
DEP, or the Department of Environmental Protection, has declared a drought watch for Monroe County and 35 other counties in Pennsylvania. Residents on the drought watch are asked to reduce their individual water use by 5 to 10%, or a reduction of three to six gallons of water per day. To find out how you and your family can conserve water at home, and to read the entire press release from DEP regarding the drought conditions, please visit our website, eaststroudsburgboro.org. There is also a link within the press release that directs you to the DEP drought page, which contains a drought map that is updated daily, and provides more important information.
Please take the time to read the water conservation tips on our website and let’s all be more mindful of reducing our water usage in hopes of avoiding worsening conditions. Sent by Borough of East Stroudsburg
