Special Weather Statement issued August 22 at 8:16PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

At 816 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Cuero to 6 miles southeast of Kenedy.
Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Cuero, Kenedy, Karnes City, Yorktown, Runge, Nordheim, Thomaston,
Westhoff, Cotton Patch, Edgar, Gruenau, New Davy, Choate,
Meyersville, Arneckville, Helena and Concrete.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
