Flood Advisory issued August 22 at 8:09PM CDT until August 22 at 11:15PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, DeWitt, Gonzales, Karnes and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 1115 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 809 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuero, Floresville, Kenedy, Karnes City, Poth, Yorktown,
Stockdale, Kosciusko, Nixon, Runge, Falls City, Smiley,
Nordheim, Gillett, Cestohowa, Pandora, Westhoff, Cheapside,
Ecleto and New Davy.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
