Special Weather Statement issued May 21 at 8:04PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 803 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Grove City to near Canonsburg. Movement
was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon Township, New
Castle, McMurray, and McKeesport.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 8 and 51.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 7 and 60.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 28 and 114.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 39 and 44.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 7 and 84.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
western, northwestern and west central Pennsylvania.
