Details
The Cedar Key Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking interested parties to establish and operate a grocery store within the CRA district. The selected applicant will be responsible for securing the property through ownership or a qualifying lease with written owner consent; completing eligible building improvements, which may include building rehabilitation, electrical and plumbing systems, facade, signage, accessibility, and storm-resiliency improvements; obtaining all required permits, inspections, licenses, and insurance; and operating primarily as a grocery store offering fresh produce, dairy, proteins, pantry staples, and household necessities year-round for a minimum of five years after opening. Applicants may request reimbursement of up to 50% of approved eligible improvement costs, not to exceed $150,000, paid in milestones after work is completed and verified. Applicants must submit a business plan, itemized improvement budget, funding evidence, project and opening schedule, and a storm preparedness and recovery plan. Awards are subject to CRA Board approval and an executed grant agreement.
