Adults are invited to join South Park Township Library for a Halloween morning walk through South Park as we explore the sights, sounds, and stories of autumn.
As we stroll along the trails we'll take a closer look at the nature of the season--fall foliage, changing plants and trees, wildlife preparing for winter, and the unique sights and sounds of an October morning.
But Halloween wouldn't be complete without a few spooky stories! Along the way, we'll share local urban legends, folklore, and ghost stories. Perhaps some of the familiar places around South Park have stories of their own.
Come enjoy a leisurely autumn walk, learn something new about the natural world right in our own backyard, and hear (and feel free to share) a few tales that might make you look at South Park a little differently!
Come for the nature, stay for the stories--and see what we discover along the way.
Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. There will be a few hills and uneven paths. We will meet in the parking lot of Oliver Miller Homestead.
