This book offers options for all levels of explorer, including roadside stops like Dry Run Falls to the strenuous nine-mile hike to the Pinnacle and Pulpit Rock. In this book you’ll climb to the top of Mount Nittany, view 700 species of wildflower in Raccoon Creek’s Wildflower Reserve, and take in sweeping views of the Susquehanna River from Hawk Rock. Tory Mather has explored hundreds of trails, waterfalls, scenic overlooks, and more in the decade-plus since she moved to Pennsylvania. Through her focus on local exploration, she shows that you don’t have to go that far from home to find an amazing outdoor adventure. You can find her living in Pittsburgh with her husband and her rescue dog or making fun of herself on the internet @torytalkstrails. This is her first book.
