The Town of Louisa Public Works Department will be performing water line replacement work in the area of 208 East Main Street. This work is necessary to replace failing water service infrastructure and improve the reliability of the Town’s water system.
Work is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, and conclude by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The work has been scheduled during overnight hours to help minimize impacts on businesses, residents, and the traveling public.
The project will involve the replacement of water service lines serving the area. Due to the
location of the work along East Main Street, motorists and pedestrians should expect temporary traffic impacts, including lane restrictions and the presence of construction equipment and personnel.
Traffic control measures will be in place throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone, reduce speed, and follow all posted signs and directions from traffic control personnel.
Public Works will make every effort to minimize disruptions to residents, businesses, and the traveling public. Customers directly affected by any necessary water service interruption will be notified as appropriate.
The Town of Louisa appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure improvement is completed.
