Beginning on Monday, August 3, 2026, the Brodhead Creek Regional Authority (water department) will be saw cutting the road at the 8th and Main Street intersection and along 8th Street between Main Street and Monroe Street, weather permitting. This work is being done prior to the installation of a new water line, fire hydrants, and service lines on 8th Street before the Borough of Stroudsburg paves the street later this year.
To complete this work, we need to close 8th Street to thru traffic between Main Street and Monroe Street during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will provide you with access to your house/driveway throughout the project; however, we ask that you please do not park on 8th Street from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
To the businesses on Main Street, we will need to close a section of metered parking spots while we are working in the intersection to accommodate traffic patterns associated with construction. Once construction is completed in the intersection, metered parking service will return.
