Mon Valley residents can rid their homes of unwanted household chemicals by recycling paints, pesticides, cleaners, auto fluids and more on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at a PRC collection in Elizabeth. Each household can recycle 10 gallons or 50 pounds of chemicals for free; additional quantities accepted for a fee.
First residents can learn how to store, prepare for a collection event, and reduce household chemical waste at a free workshop on Tuesday, June 17, in Clairton. Both events are generously supported by the Pittsburgh Foundation.
