The Mayor & Council of Federalsburg will be unveiling the newly erected plaque on the corner of East Central and Brooklyn Avenues on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at 10am. The plaque was erected to commemorate the Town of Federalsburg's historic election on September 26, 2023, which resulted in the first African American residents being elected to serve on the Town Council; and the adoption and implementation of a new and fair election system, undoing the 200-year exclusion of the black residents from town government. Please join us for this great and historic community gathering.
