Details
Planning for the Adams County Planting Partnership’s Fall 2024 native tree and shrub seedling distribution is underway. Here’s what we know now:
1. We’ve finalized our list of available seedling species. Take a look at what species should be available for request, as well as descriptions of each. This information will help you select the species that will best suit your location and needs. Please keep in mind that, because we only have about 8,000 seedlings on their way, we’re limiting all requests to no more than 25 total seedlings. List can be found at adamswatersheds.org
2. Our seedling distribution is tentatively scheduled for:
Friday, October 18, 12-7 p.m. and
Saturday, October 19, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
We’ll hold our “Tree-for-All,” where all unclaimed seedlings are available for the taking, on Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m. and on until the seedlings are gone. (Note: it doesn’t take long!)
3. Our online seedling-request form will go live at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 14. You’ll be able to access the form at-

4. We’re currently seeking volunteers to help us distribute the seedlings! Here’s our volunteer schedule:
Wednesday, Oct. 16, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.: Label and sort the seedlings.
Thursday, Oct. 17, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.: Only if necessary, we’ll use this time to finish labeling and sorting the seedlings.
Friday, Oct. 18: 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.: Distribute seedlings.
Saturday, Oct. 19: 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Distribute seedlings.
We'll have snacks on hand to help you keep up your strength, and all volunteers are welcome to take home a free Adams County Planting Partnership T-shirt. Want to help? You can sign up here-
