Follow Up to incident on July 6, 2024 at Abraxas Academy in New Morgan Borough, Berks County, PA.
As you will remember there had been a escape of two persons that had been detained at Abraxas Academy on afternoon of July 6, 2024. Once the Caernarvon Township Police Department was made aware of the incident we used our Savvy Citizen program to push out notifications that evening and the days following up and including when both had been recaptured. After that escape we had well over 300 plus persons sign up so they could get the information first hand. We are very happy to see the numbers to continue to grow.
We continue to use our Savvy Citizen program for many things to alert our community and business owners of things that are going on.
I was recently contacted by Savvy Citizen who recognized our success with the use of their program which lead them to do a story about Caernarvon Township Police Department. I have attached a copy of their article for your review.
