NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT
TO ADOPT CONCERNING PROPOSED ORDINANCES 627 & 628
AMENDING THE BOROUGH OF EDINBORO CODE
The Borough of Edinboro hereby gives notice that a public hearing will be conducted concerning proposed Ordinances 627 & 628 on June 10, 2024 at 6:15 PM in the Borough of Edinboro Municipal Building, 124 Meadville Street, Edinboro, PA. Council may then consider and act upon the proposed Ordinances at their regular meeting following the hearing.
Ordinance 627 would amend Chapter 5 of the Edinboro Borough Code to establish rules and regulations specific to short-term rental licensing and edit the Regulated Rental section of the Code to differentiate between short-term and residential (long-term) rental licensing.
Ordinance 628 would have the following impact: amend Chapter 27 of the Edinboro Borough Code, pertaining to Zoning, to provide for the designation of the specific Zoning Districts within the Borough that would be permitted to house short-term rentals. As proposed, short-term rentals would be permitted in the following Zoning Districts: R-2, R-3, R-4, RLB, C-1, and C-2.
Complete copies of the draft Ordinance may be viewed at the Borough of Edinboro Municipal Office during regular business hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday or by emailing the Borough office at jspangenberg@edinboro.net.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend this public hearing and provide relevant testimony. Any person with a disability requiring a special accommodation to attend this meeting of the Borough of Edinboro should notify the Borough Manager at 814-734-1812 x 123 as early as possible, but not later than two (2) working days prior to the meeting. The Council will make every effort to provide a reasonable accommodation.
