BY BOROUGH ORDINANCE ALL RESIDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO RECYCLE. VIOLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO PENALTY
GENERAL INFORMATION:
BOROUGH ORDINANCE REQUIRES THAT ALL TRASH BE PLACED IN METAL OR PLASTIC CONTAINERS, NOT TO EXCEED A CAPACITY OF THIRTY (30) GALLONS, SECURED WITH TIGHT LIDS. TRASH AND/OR RECYCLABLES SHOULD NOT BE PLACED AT THE CURB PRIOR TO 4:00 PM ON THE DAY PRIOR TO COLLECTION. CONTAINERS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE COLLECTION SIGHT THE SAME DAY AS TRASH COLLECTION. TRASH CANS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE STORED IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. THEY MUST BE STORED IN THE REAR AND BROUGHT TO THE CURB ON THE DAY OF COLLECTION. VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IS A SUMMARY OFFENSE AND IS SUBJECT TO A FINE.
BULK WASTE: Furniture, appliances, washers, dryers and carpeting (cut, bundled and tied) in lengths no longer than 4 FT. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners MUST have the Freon removed by a professional contractor and an evidence sticker displayed. UNDER STATE LAW, TRASH CONTRACTORS CANNOT PICK UP APPLIANCES CONTAINING FREON. CONTACT AN APPLIANCE SALES/SERVICE COMPANY FOR THIS SERVICE.

ITEMS NOT PERMITTED UNDER OUR CONTRACT: “BUILDING and/or CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS”–WOOD/LUMBER, DRYWALL, PLASTER, TILE, PANELING, CONCRETE, DOORS, WINDOWS, PAINT, and DIRT.
