Members of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, a non-profit organization, will be conducting a tree inventory within the Borough of Turtle Creek daily during the week of September 18 – 22, 2023.
The Conservancy began in 1932 in an attempt to alleviate unemployment as a direct result of The Great Depression, and to steward our state’s natural resources.
Information gathered by this inventory will be used to determine the health of our area's trees and to determine where trees are needed within the Borough. Trees are an essential part of our ecological infrastructure, helping to control climate change and storm water run-off.
Members of the Conservancy will be identifiable by their uniforms and official work vehicle.
They will not enter private property during this time.
