NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, will consider for adoption at a Public Hearing to be held at 10:00 a.m. on the 29th day of December 2022, at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania, 18372, an Ordinance adopting a Budget and Appropriating Funds estimated to be required for the Purposes of the Government of the Township of Pocono and Fixing the Real Estate Millage Rate for the 2023 Fiscal Year.
Copies of the proposed text of the Ordinance summarized below may be examined by any citizen of the Township at www.poconopa.gov or at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, PA during normal business hours.
The 2023 Pocono Township Budget includes a 1 mill tax increase to cover borrowing required for a new municipal complex; capital project needs, including road paving and large equipment purchases; and closure of the General Fund operating deficit.
