The McCandless Environmental Advisory Committee is hosting an event at the McCandless/Northern Allegheny Heritage Center on Thursday, November 17 at 7 p.m.
Water has played a prominent role in the history and development of the Pittsburgh Region. From helping to power the industrial revolution, to brewing beer, to shipping on the 3 rivers, to almonds on the Oakmont Bakery almond tort cakes, water is an essential part of all that we do in Pittsburgh.
Join David Sanchez of Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation as he reveals some of the many ways water will shape our industry, history, and future on a personal and regional level. Along with the history of water, there will be an examination of environmental impacts related to water and a look to the future of water resource management.
