Parking Authority Makes Changes due to Coronavirus
|Sent||Wed, Mar 18 @ 9am|
The Sewickley Borough Parking Authority is temporarily providing up to 15 minutes of free parking in zone 1.
They encourage all patrons and customers to utilize the MeterFeeder Parking App in order to limit contact with the publicly used Parking Multi-Space Meters and their keypads. The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
The short-term parking is to assist businesses with the ongoing changes due to COVID 19. As reported earlier, all businesses in Allegheny County are required to limit foot traffic while restaurants are only providing take out. To support the business community in Sewickley, the Parking Authority is making this change to allow for faster access for take-out and other pick up services.
The 15-minute free parking will start immediately with your cooperation and courtesy to others trying to use the parking spaces for pickup only.
DO NOT FEED THE METERS IF YOU JUST PICK UP AND GO!
The Parking Authority will have a technical solution provided through the MeterFeeder App ready on 3/25 and run this program until further notice, depending on the developments. This information will be posted on all meters in town. The Authority highly encourages all patrons to download the MeterFeeder app to limit the use of meters.
