Special Weather Statement issued June 14 at 1:28AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 128 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Toronto to near Avella to 10 miles
northeast of Hundred. Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township, Monroeville,
Moon Township, McMurray, Weirton, McKeesport, Washington, Franklin
Park, and Uniontown.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 7 and 53.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 65 and 68.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 6 and 71.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 46 and 78.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM EDT for
east central Ohio. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect
until 600 AM EDT for western and southwestern Pennsylvania...and
northern West Virginia.
