Special Weather Statement issued May 16 at 7:08PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 701 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Evans City to 8 miles north of
Barnesville. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
Wheeling, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon Township,
McMurray, and Weirton.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Ohio between mile markers 200 and 225.
Interstate 70 in West Virginia between mile markers 0 and 14.
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 28.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 23 and 59.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 28 and 85.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 41 and 84.
