Special Weather Statement issued April 19 at 4:57PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
Scattered snow showers will cross the region from northwest to
southeast during the evening commute and into the early evening.
The main impact of these snow showers will be reduced visibility to
one-half mile or less on a local basis. Wind gusts of 20 to 30 MPH
may also contribute to reducing visibility. Any minor accumulation
will be mostly limited to grassy surfaces, but a quick-melting
coat of snow may appear on roads during the heaviest showers.
Use caution while driving in these snow showers. If reduced
visibility is encountered, slow down and allow extra distance
between your car and those that surround you.
