Special Weather Statement issued January 23 at 2:09PM EST by NWS State College PA
At 202 PM EST, a large area of light to moderate snow was spreading
from the Laurel Highlands through the West Central and Central
Mountains along the Interstate 80 and Route 220 corridors. As the
snow begins, road surface temperatures are falling to below freezing
and may become locally icy and snow covered.
Locations impacted include...
Altoona, State College, Williamsport, Johnstown, Bloomsburg, St.
Marys, Berwick, Sunbury, Lock Haven, Lewistown, DuBois, Shamokin,
Huntingdon, Milton, Somerset, Clearfield, Bellefonte, Lewisburg,
Hollidaysburg and Selinsgrove.
Be prepared for reduced visibilities and slushy to snow covered
roadways, and allow extra time when traveling this afternoon
and evening.
