SP Library: Phipps Gardening Program

From South Park Township
When Thu, Apr 29, 2021 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Spring is finally here and it is time to start decorating the world with flowers. Who better to learn about planting than with Phipps! Join South Park Library for this special Wildflower Seed Program, which will meet on Zoom.

This educational program for children will be hosted by Jennifer Torrance from Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Have you ever wondered what kinds of wildflowers grow in PA? Let’s discuss the benefits of adding Native Plants into your garden and learn how to grow them! This program will also explore the ways that native wildflowers benefit butterflies, birds and other wild animals.

Everyone who attends this program will receive a packet of native wildflower seeds, a pot and some potting soil so you are able to plant along with the instructor. Prior to program, an e-mail will be sent out for your pick-up date and time. This is a great introduction into science and biology.

Please register for this virtual library program at https://www.eventkeeper.com/code/ekform.cfm?curOrg=SPARK&curID=503778.
